Rules and Regulations for 2024 Aspire Talent Championships
General Rules
1. Entry Requirements:
- Registration Complete and submit the online registration form by October 14, 2024, along with the non-refundable audition registration fee of 500 THB per participant ( for non-members of Airgym.Family)
The competition entry fee is 1500 THB per competition category. - Audition Video: Participants outside Airgym.family must submit an audition video between 2:30-4 minutes long, with clear background music and no editing. Provide the video showcase link via Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Adherence to Rules: All participants must agree to adhere to all competition rules and regulations.
- Parental Consent: Performers under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the liability release form.
- Rehearsal Attendance: All participants must attend the rehearsal on December 7 2024, at assigned hours, at Sky Garden or Central Festival (depending on the weather conditions). The final schedule will be confirmed by November 5, 2024.
- Routine Preparation: Participants must prepare a routine for performance on December 7, 2024.
- Judges’ Decisions: All decisions made by the judges are final. Participants are not permitted to communicate with judges regarding scoring.
- Promotional Permissions: Participants grant permission for their performances to be photographed and videotaped for promotional purposes.
- Category and Schedule Adjustments: If the number of participants in any category group is less than 5, they will be merged into the corresponding higher-level group.
For example, if there are fewer than 5 participants in the Rising Stars category, they will be merged into the Future Champions category, and the group name will be updated accordingly. Additionally, if there are fewer than 5 participants in the Beginner group within the same age category, they will be merged with the Intermediate group.
2. Participant Information Collection:
- Personal Details: Provide full name, date of birth, passport number, legal gender, contact information, emergency contact details, and any medical conditions.
- Category and Apparatus Choice: Specify age group, skill level (Beginner, Intermediate+), and apparatus choice (Hammock, Silks, Various). Participants outside Airgym.Family must include a video showcase link and a brief self-introduction (maximum 50 words).
Apparatus and Stage Setup
1. Allowed Equipment provided by AirGym.Family:
- Aerial Hammock, effective lengths:
- 3 meters (Gold, Black, Silver),
- 2.5 meters (Red, White, Black, Blue, Purple, Pink).
- Aerial Silks: 16 meters (Gold, White, Blue, Black, Red).
- Aerial Pole: 45 mm, 3 meters.
- Aerial Rope: Black, 16 meters.
- Aerial Straps: Black cotton, 3.5 meters.
Personal Equipment: Personal equipment must undergo safety checks and include the necessary hardware (carabiners, swivel).
2. Rigging Safety:
- All equipment will be rigged to a heavy-duty showframe (H 8 m x W 6 m x L 6 m) with an automated winch.
- Maximum height for performers under 18 is 6 meters.
- Personal equipment must be inspected and approved before use.
3. Safety Measures:
- Maximum Height: The maximum performance height for participants under 18 is limited to 6 meters to ensure safety.
- Spotters: Each performer must have a spotter present during rehearsals and performances. Spotters must be over 18 years old, familiar with the performance, and remain at the back of the stage, moving closer only during high-risk moves. No contact or verbal instructions are allowed during the performance except in the event of an accident.
- Emergency Protocol: In case of an accident, the Head Judge may stop the performance, and necessary medical assistance will be provided immediately.
Performance Rules
1. Music:
- Music must be family-friendly and uploaded in MP3 format via Google Drive or Dropbox. It should be pre-cut to the correct length as specified for each category.
- Inappropriate music, including sexually suggestive or explicit content, will result in disqualification.
- Performance music must be uploaded to Google Drive or Dropbox and sent to info@airgym.family within 14th October 2024
2. Costume and Makeup:
- General Costume Guidelines: Costumes must cover the entire pelvic area and at least 3/4 of the buttocks. Sparkles and net fabric are allowed only on specific parts (e.g., the top part of the sternum or sleeves).
- Prohibited Items: No thongs, pasties, garter belts, transparent clothing, leather fabrics, or PVC/rubber clothing.
- Removal of Costume Parts: Permitted as part of choreography but should not be performed erotically.
Female Costume Restrictions:
- Female costumes cannot include thongs, pasties, garter belts, guepiere, nylon stockings, underwear, swimwear or bikinis, transparent clothing that does not cover the breast or pelvic area, PVC or rubber clothing, or clothing soaked in oil or water.
- Emerging Artists and Rising Stars must wear unitard costumes.
- Coverage must include the entire pelvic area and at least 3/4 of the buttocks.
3. Prohibited Actions:
- Performing semi-nude or improperly dressed.
- Engaging in erotic behavior, suggestive dancing, or inappropriate body movements.
- Using non-approved grip aids.
4. Disqualification Criteria:
- Improper attire, intentional costume malfunctions, and use of non-approved grip aids.
- Violation of height restrictions for participants under 18.
5. Use of Props:
- Props must not be breakable or hazardous (e.g., no fire, water, knives, glitter, paper pieces, or confetti).
- Human props are allowed. Set and removal of props are limited to one minute, except for production routines.
Judging Criteria
1. Execution Deductions:
- Singular Deductions: Poor execution, incorrect lines, bad angles: -0.5 to -1 points per instance. Slips, loss of balance, and falls: -2 to -5 points per instance.
- One-Time Deductions: Not using 70% of the apparatus or its full potential: -3 points.
2. Technical Presentation:
- Evaluates tricks, combinations, level of difficulty, and execution. Total of 65 points.
- Criteria include originality, transitions, flexibility, strength, and dynamic movements.
3. Artistic Presentation:
- Evaluates musicality, overall presentation, confidence, originality, facial expression, and floorwork. Total of 100 points.
- Criteria include the flow and balance of the routine, and quality of movement.
Head Judge’s Role and Penalties
1. Penalties:
- Costume malfunction: up to -10 points.
- Explicit sexual content: up to -5 points.
- Failure to appear on stage within 20 seconds: -3 points.
- Apparatus swinging: -5 points.
- Violation of height restrictions for participants under 18: -5 points.
2. **Disqualification:**
- For removing intimate clothing, disrespectful behavior, and inappropriate choreographic content.
- Entering stage more than 60 seconds after announcement.
3. Extraordinary Circumstances:
- The Head Judge may stop the routine for issues like incorrect music, equipment malfunction, or disturbances.
- Competitors may restart their routine after resolving the issue, with previous scores disregarded.
