The sport combines gymnastics, dance, and calisthenics; gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, elegant, and coordinated.
Skills
The primary skills that rhythmic gymnastics develops are flexibility and plasticity. Besides, kids get:
- good stretching,
- flexibility of ligaments,
- joint mobility,
- correct posture,
- developed coordination,
- accuracy of movements.
Also, gymnastics develops artistry, a sense of rhythm, self-control, discipline, willpower, and the ability to make instant calculations in the head. For example, what force and angle you have to throw the object that catches it after a particular time.
Age
Usually, children aged 4-5 are going to rhythmic gymnastics. But we accept kids from 3-4 years old. At this age, we help build the fitness foundation for your kid’s body and mind. For a child to grow up healthy and cheerful, organized and disciplined, he or she simply needs sports.
